Why is it we seem to put up with ineptness in this country today, its not only in the lower echelons of commerce but at the top.

Dame Cressida Rose D*ck is a senior British police officer who has served as Commissioner of Police since 2017. She is the first female and first openly homosexual officer to lead the Metropolitan Police Service in London, fancy that, all three in 1 bag, white, female and a homosexual we couldn’t wish for more, or could we?

Since joining the Met in 1983 she has been linked with several huge bungles, but it hasn’t stopped her meteoric rise through the ranks!

1.     Charing Cross (February 2022) - Details emerged of horrific messages exchanged by officers at Charing Cross police station. 14 officers were investigated as a result, with two found to have a case to answer for gross misconduct.

1 was sacked and another resigned before he would have been dismissed. Another 2 had already left. Incredibly, 9 officers kept their jobs and two were promoted – their sickening WhatsApp messages exposed an ongoing culture of racism, sexism, and bullying.

2.     Sarah Everard (March 2021) – Sarah was kidnapped, rape and murdered by Met Police Officer Wayne Couzens, he was nicknamed “The Rapist” by his colleagues.

3.     Richard Okorogheye (March 2021) - Richard was a teenager reported missing by his family and found dead in Essex. Two Met Police staff served with misconduct notices over the way a student's disappearance was handled.

4.     Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman (June 2020) – Two sisters stabbed to death in a park in north-west London. This sparked discussion of women's safety on our streets.

5.     Bianca Williams and Ricardo dos Santos (July 2020) - Athlete Bianca Williams and her partner believe they were racially profiled when their car was stopped by Met officers. The Met officers involved in the stopping, searching and handcuffing face gross misconduct over alleged racism and dishonesty.

6.     Jean Charles de Menezes (July 2005) - Jean was shot dead by officers of the London Metropolitan Police who mistook him for a terrorist suspect.

It said we could replace this inept and totally useless leader of our capitals police force, here is our thoughts on a replacement:

1. The current deputy commissioner Sir Stephen House, (born 1957) after all that’s his role?

2. General Sir Mark Alexander Popham Carleton-Smith, (born 1964) a senior British Army officer. He has previously served as Director Special Forces and commanded 22 Special Air Service Regiment.

3. Major General Celia Jane Harvey, (born 1962) a British Army Major General and academic. She has served in the Territorial Army since joining the Women's Royal Army Corps in 1987. She was promoted to major general in March 2020 and became deputy commander Field Army.

4. General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders, (born 6 April 1966) is a senior British Army officer. He currently serves as Commander United Kingdom Strategic Command.

5. Major General Sharon Patricia Nesmith, (born 1970) a senior British Army officer. In 2014, she became the first woman to command a British Army brigade, and in 2021 she became the first woman to command a division-level formation.

Let’s hope that her replacement for the Met Police actually takes account of the ability, and history of the successful candidate and is less of a box ticking exercise. Who do you think should be her replacement? Share your thoughts.
